I am selling my Taipan 4.9 sloop catamaran (US #262).  The boat
is light and fast.  The boat has many extras including carbon
rudder stocks, carbon tiller extension and carbon spinnaker
snuffer.  The hulls are reinforced with Kevlar.  Included are three
mains (one practice main, one  sloop rigged, one  cat rigged), two
jibs (one practice jib) and two spinnakers (one designed by Randy
Smyth). The boat is in excellent condition.  I will sell with or without
a custom galvanized trailer. If you are interested, email me (Bob

MOON-
LIGHTING
Last full moon provided some
great sailing nights where the
temperature dropped into the low
70's and the breezes were steady.

I got to sail some nights on Conroe
and wished I could have sailed
Somerville too.  A couple of nights
several boats sailed together in
formation close enough to toss you
a drink if your refreshments had
run out.  That actually happened
because I had not planned on
sailing so late into the evening and
had only brought ice water.  The
sailing was just too good to let go
of so we all sailed late into the
evening before heading home.

Below is photo of a sailing buddy
of mine, Mike Beck in his C-30 on
Lake Conroe.

It's racing on Lake Canyon and now is the time to make
preparations to be at Lake Canyon Yacht Club's largest sailing
event of the year...Wurstfest.  The Brazos Sailing Club was very
well represented in 2009 so let's do it again in 2010.  Check the
Wurstfest Regatta 2010 link for all the information as it becomes
available.
